Self-development workshops for children.

“Developing Me” is London UK based programme driven to promoting self-development in children, meeting the S.M.S.C development standards as set by Oftsed. As a Children’s Author and experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, specialising in CBT interventions, I am aware of the importance and benefits of nurturing self-development from a young age.

We offer a fantastic series of workshops for children called “Developing ME”, aimed at fostering healthy emotional wellbeing and building emotional resilience in children.  

  • Our 1 hour workshops or half day.
  • Set over 4 weeks, 2 weeks min (to enhance learning).
  • 4-15 year old.
  • Utilise groups and individual work, storytelling, song, role play, games, video recording and discussion to assist learning. (Activities to suit age/ group).
  • Improve behaviour, self-esteem, communication. Reduce anxiety  angery.
  • Weekly "Self-experiments"
  • Parent pack given to each parent to assist self-development learning.
  • Evaluation and feedback to school.
  • Parent & Teacher workshops, talks available.
  • 121 and mentoring services available.

The aim of the ‘Developing ME’ school projects is to, show children how to feel and become the best they can be, ultimately recognise their individual potential. We provide emotional education and empowerment for young people through delivering workshops that will create a foundation for developing character, strength and a positive healthy approach to life. Recognising different learning styles, abilities and environments we encourage a holistic approach to supporting children by supporting their teachers and their parents. We also have online workshops for children and young people.

Emotional well-being – this includes being happy and confident and not anxious or depressed. We address this area by bring awareness of self and emotions, values, positive and negative emotions, general emotional wellbeing.

Psychological well-being – this includes the ability to, problem-solve, manage emotions, experience empathy, be resilient and attentive, ourselves and others. We look at thinking patterns; identify triggers, staying healthy with relaxation, stress and worry, the power of positive thinking and patience.

Social well-being –this includes healthy relationships with others non-disruptive behaviour, aggression, bully or victim. We look at sameness and differences, anger and assertiveness we look at helpful and unhelpful behaviours and affective communication.

 Session 1:  Who am I? Exploring our own self-confidence, Positive thinking.
 Session 2:  Managing stress, self-awareness & anxiety, me and others.
 Session 3:  Anger & assertiveness and communication/body language.
 Session 4:  Personal plan, relaxation, MY tool box.
