About:

IROKO Theatre Company, winner of The Guardian Charity Award for “its innovative approach to education”, is a theatre-in-education Company. The Company uses interactive performances and/or workshops in the art of oral storytelling, drama, music, dance, arts and craft as a vehicle to help educate and enhance the overall wellbeing of people, particularly disadvantaged children and young people from varied cultural backgrounds and abilities.

Our traditional African storytelling performances are specifically selected and designed for each individual occasion and/or age group. Workshops can follow the performances and can concentrate on all, any or a combination of the art forms above - storytelling/drama, music, dance, tie and dye and clay modelling.
