DRUMMING AND DANCE WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS
Choose a workshop that steeps your pupils in the life and cultures of Africa, South America, Cuba and South Asia and the percussion and dance styles they gave rise to.
How does it work?
Working in small groups, your pupils will have an interactive demonstration of the music and/ or dance styles of your choice. Using the art forms as a way of sharing the stories, age old traditions and culture, our tutors will take your pupils on a journey across continents and pass on generations of experience in the arts to everyone involved. This is not only a workshop but a gift and experience for you to share.
We offer tuition in African Drumming and Dance, Brazilian Drumming and Dance including Samba, Indian Drumming and Dance including Bhangra, Cuban Drumming and Dance including Salsa and Modern and contemporary styles such as Junk Percussion, Street Dance and Hip-Hop.
A little bit about our tutors:
At Bangdrum we are delighted to have at the helm some of the very best percussionists, dancers and choreographers currently in the UK. All of our tutors are professional touring musicians and master-class facilitators who are in high demand internationally. Our tutors not only love music and the arts but also love the ability to be able to share this with talented young people in schools. We want nothing more but to inspire our young artists to become the next generation of music and dance leaders. And that’s why Bangdrum is the very best cultural percussion and dance workshop companies in the UK.
