About:

Birmingham Road is home to Britain’s most friendly and culturally diverse people. It is on this road that primary pupils get the opportunity to visit the houses of families who come from all over the world. There, they are introduced to cultures and traditions different to their own, they learn songs and they dance. The pupils also encounter people who dislike ‘others’ because of their cultural background; the pupils face the task of counteracting their views.

This workshop uses drama, music and cultural props to cleverly teach pupils about different cultures, British values, race and religion. Equally, it gently introduces the idea of prejudice and reasons to oppose it.

Help your pupils understand others and cultural intolerance in an experiential, visual and creative way.

Suitable for Key Stages 1 & 2.

We usually can accomodate a whole school in a day. Fees are very reasonable.
